AUTHENTIC + STONEWARE

This sturdy utilitarian pottery from the early 1900’s is a staple in my home and something I have collected over the years. The aged earthen glazes and heavy weight make this pottery indestructible and age beautifully. We have set out to replicate this stoneware authentically by hand building and wheel throwing these to make a collection available without hunting secondhand stores. We offer large statement crocks and jugs to display your dried and natural flower arrangements as well as a dinnerware line. We have painstakingly studied the process of replicating this beautiful American folk pottery and offer it to you.

Jim Calhoun has been throwing and hand making pottery for over forty years. We connected through a mutual friend in the incredible Mighty Tieton community at Boxx Gallery in Tieton , WA. Jim’s studio is in Phoenix, AZ and together we created a collection of stoneware. With his lifetime of expertise and connections nationwide, we designed a line of authentically made stoneware. Our goals were simple. Make functional, imperfect and durable pottery with earthen glazes that would fit in any home, grounded by the traditional Folk pottery methods. Basic shapes that could be thrown and fired easily and the simplicity is the perfect, imperfect functional art for your home.
